Sue's role with SMS is to provide consulting skills and experience to SMS clients to achieve their desired outcomes, whilst at the same time enhancing SMS's reputation with clients and the local Business and ICT community.
SMS Career Highlights
Sue is currently engaged at a Government infrastructure department, leading a team of consultants to transform the newly developed Business Solutions and Information department by providing consultancy and thought leadership on strategy, change management, strategic workforce planning, program and portfolio management, service delivery, ICT governance and performance management.
- Working for a major City Council as part of a Consulting team on a critical engagement to provide analysis on current Customer Service systems and to develop a business case to implement a single vendor solution over a multi-year timeframe. The engagement was critical to ensure that a robust business case was presented to ensure funding for the initiative was achieved during a tight budget cycle.
- Transforming the Project Office into a PMO to support a whole of Government Shared Service program initiative. This encompassed undertaking the role of the Program Office Director and managing the day to day operational issues whilst at the same time transforming the project office to a PMO. The engagement completed with a skills transfer and handover of the PMO to the client for on going management.
Background
Sue commenced her career with the ANZ Bank and undertook a variety of IT operational, project and management roles. Sue has more than 30 years of practical Consulting experience which includes working in several Australian states, overseas and running her own Consulting practice.
Sue is currently continuing further studies in Executive & Life coaching accreditation and finalising a Bachelor of IT degree.
Sue is a qualified adult trainer, ITIL Service Management Practitioner, Associate of Australian Institute of Project Management and Member of Australian Computer Society.
